URBAN WOLVES

Confession. I, Izzy Bea, am a serial hair colour changerist and inventor of new words. I'm a repeat offender, and well... I've done it again. 'Natural Dark Brown' said the box. It lied. Black seems a more appropriate description. But despite my initial horror it's not all bad news, because it has sparked some inspiration. Dark locks makes for dark(er) looks.

'Business grunge punk'. It's not a style generally seen (or accepted, as I later found out) in suburbia. Lingering looks may force you to the backstreets. And while I may not feel part of the pack, it's here where I'm most content. Velvet and stripes. Leather and spikes. Maybe it ain't so bad being a lone wolf.

WOODLAND WANDER

Winter. It's a short stayed guest in Australia. But it times its arrival as to not completely miss Summer. It's only brief. But the two simply co-exist. When winter woolies like a grandpa-esque pullover has the chance to get acquainted with aztec printed, linen shorts. Whether the two should ever be seen together... well I'll let you decide.

As for the woodland. Is anything better to photograph? There's an untamed beauty about it. So many authors have captured it with language. (Sorry talking about books again, it's probably the hint of 'preppy'  from this outfit.) But it doesn't have to be something only out of a book. Let's get lost together, just follow me...

WILTED ROSE

The ideal. Modest yet young. Dressy yet casual. Stylish yet comfortable. But more than anything, easy to throw on. This is my ideal. And hence the outfit below. I wish I could call the outfit post "lazy Sunday morning", but unfortunately, it was none of these.

With wilted roses and pearl necklaces, I can't help but feel like this has been inspired from a very stereotypical romance novel. Or maybe it's that anyone wearing this should be seen reading a romance novel in the corner of a quirky, side-street cafe. I can't quite decide.  Either way, there's something quite romantic, almost ethereal, about this look... Well, if you ignore the boots.
