10 Items 10 Outfits: MIDDAY STROLL

Check out parts one, two, three, and four.

Introducing the final unseen piece of this 10 Items 10 Outfits challenge, a trusty denim pinafore. In my opinion, one of the most versatile pieces you could have in your wardrobe. Not only is denim timeless, the pinafore is the chameleon of the fashion world. Dress it 'up' with a coat from a midday stroll; dress it 'down' with a casual t-shirt for a lazy Sunday brunch; or barely even dress at all and throw it over your bikini at the beach.

Summer means one thing... SWIMSUITS!

With summer upon us (thank you world), it's time to start stocking up on swimsuits. Lucky for you, I know just the place... or should I say places... no. Actually, I should say 'cyber-splaces' (places in cyber space). Two Melbourne swimwear labels, Funkita Form and Kiargo, are having super massive sales through their online stores. I love the thrill of a bargain, something I suspect many of you do too, and with 50 and 60 percent of respectively, it's just too good not to share.

Regardless of whether you're a swimming enthusiast or prefer laying poolside (I'm poolside all the way); if you're team bikini or team one-piece (or both, no judgment here); have no fear, there's definitely something for you. Old school glamour, funky new prints... here's two of my favourites:
Black Bondage One-Piece from Funkita Form

Liberty Top and Briefs from Kiargo
Hopefully, it won't be long until this bikini joins my others- a girl can never have too many swimsuits. Fact.

10 Items 10 Outfits: TWIST AND SHOUT

See parts one, two and three if you haven't already.
Introducing two new items, not yet seen in this 10 Items 10 Outfits series. First the very versatile, staple pleated skirt. Everyone needs one item in their wardrobe that can provide a strong pop of colour, something a bright red skirt does very well. And second, the statement printed bomber jacket. Every outfit needs a talking point, something that makes it interesting... I think this jacket speaks for itself.

10 Items 10 Outfits: FOREVER AGO

Finally, the long awaited part 3 of the 10 Items, 10 Outfit series (/challenge). Remember to check out parts 1 and 2.
I know it's been forever ago since I attempted to start this series, which has been and will be interrupted with 'normal' outfit posts that don't feature these specific items. But I think I've got my groove back and hopefully won't have to go a week without posting again... (bad Izzy). Nothing much more to say except thanks for your patients and kind comments. Have a lovely weekend, and keep your eyes posted for part 4.

MAKING IT UP

Snowed under with uni assessment. Way behind in editing. Oh... and the dog ate my homework. There. That's all the excuses I have for not posting for I don't even know how long. I do apologise a thousand times. And in an attempt to make up for my unplanned hiatus, here's some pictures of one of my most worn outfits (yes, I re-wear the same outfit, sometimes even within the same week). I promise I'll be back super soon, with the next instalment of the series, 10 Items 10 Outfits.

10 Items 10 Outfits: GWEN STEFANI

Here's part 2 of my 10 Items, 10 Outfits series. If you missed the first one, just click here!
There's just something about this outfit that has me thinking, 'Gwen Stefani.' Maybe it's the odd match of a tight crop top and baggy jeans. No doubt (... get it), that's definitely a 'Gwen' fashion choice. But to leave it at that would be to undermine the impact of the- let's face it- insanely cool, tile print coat. It's the addition of these clean lines, with quirky surprises (including cut outs and trippy prints), that makes Gwen's style something more, something unique.

10 Items 10 Outfits: 90s KID

And so it begins... 10 items, 10 outfits, the first instalment. I'm a 90s kid. And by that I just mean I was born in that decade. I did not have the pleasure of indulging in the 90s fashion or music scenes. But luckily, if you wait long enough, things are bound to back in style. And this outfit, I think, is a true testament to that fact. A postmodern take on 90s fashion, by a 90s kid.

ASOS Semester of Style

Feeling like you're constantly re-wearing the same outfits over and over again to school or uni? And on a student's budget, I know it can feel like you have no other choice. But rather than get stuck in a rut, why not do a bit of wardrobe shuffle? I bet you'll be surprised just how many more outfits you can create from what you already have, provided you're willing to mix it up.

I was lucky enough to be asked by ASOS, along with a few other students/fashion bloggers from around the world, to be part of their 'Semester of Style' campaign. We each got to choose 10 items across a variety of categories from cutout boots to pinafores, and style them in as many different ways as we could.

At the moment you can find me under the titles: 'Printed Bomber,' 'Pinafore,' 'Statement Sweatshirt,' 'Backpack' and 'Pleated Skirt.' But of course, I've managed to create many more outfits from my little stash that I've decided to make my various outfits into a '10 Items 10 Outfits' series on my blog, which I hope will inspire you to challenge the way you've been wearing your wardrobe.

You can check out ASOS 'Semester of Style' here!
Remember to click on 'As Seen On Students' and browse through the items to see yours truly.

FORTY THREE

I'm not a sports person. But that doesn't mean I don't have a team. I consider myself part of 'team music'- hence the 'Jagger' tee- and part of 'team fashion' (which I'll show you in another post soon). I'm a member in part for my passion, but perhaps more so for the sense of identity it brings. To be a 'fan' is more than over playing songs or plastering posters on your wall, it's to be a part of community of like minded people. Communities who, just like the Stones, can span generations, geographical and cultural divides. When you're part of team you're never really alone. (After all, there's no 'i' in team... though there is a 'me'...)

P.S. Keep your eyes on this space for tomorrows post. I have a very exciting announcement that some of you may already be a aware of...
