MIDDLE GROUND

Indecisive. Fence-sitter. Call it what you will. Either way, those people treading on the middle ground are often criticised. But sometimes its where I feel most comfortable. When you think critically things are often neither 'this' nor 'that'; neither black nor white. So I often find myself identifying somewhere in the grey area. While it may seem like the easy option initially to outsiders, it takes a lot of courage to hold the middle ground. Others may take bold, divisive opinions and leave you as lonely voice inbetween. At least from the middle ground you can see both sides clearly- a view perhaps more people should see.

EIGHTIES FORTITUDE

I know. The 1980s called and they want their oversized, acid wash, denim jacket back. Well, they can't have it. I don't care how out-of-fashion, or vulgar somebody may think it is. I love it, and I'm keeping it.  I must say, it's been the better part of 10 years since I've owned a denim jacket. And while I don't think I'll be starting a collection anytime soon, it has definitely earned its place in my closet.

PARK AVENUE

It's been a little while since my last post. University exams got the better of my time. And I didn't have the foresight to preschedule posts. But they are over. Goodbye pyjama pants and grubby t-shirts. Now, I am back to wearing clothes, like this, that are 'blog worthy'. In places, like this, that are also 'blog worthy'. Oh park avenues, how I wish I could stroll down you forever. But that will have to wait because now it's time for my biannual post-exam hibernation full of trashy TV and takeaways.

LITTLE JOY

One of my favourite prints of all time. I don't know whether to thank you Cameo for creating such masterpieces. Or hate you for destroying my bank account. Either way my decision will have to wait. I am currently snowed under the study notes I am desperately writing to make up for yet another semester of procrastinating. (She says as she procrastinates by writing a blog post.) So for these few frantic weeks, beautiful clothes right now are the only joy I have.

THE NEW CLASSIC

When it comes to wardrobe staples I'm all about leather and stripes- oh, and black and white. Seriously though ladies (and gents, you can do this too) stripe up your life. Inject some parallel lines into your closet. I can guarantee, no matter how many plain white or black t-shirts you have, add a striped one and it will be your go to. It's the new classic.

URBAN MERMAID

Casual sequins. I know, it sounds like an oxymoron. Before my eyes stumbled across this beauty I thought sequins were strictly reserved for school formals and grand nights out. Oh how I was wrong. And now that I have my very own sequin piece in my wardrobe (that isn't from my former dance class days), I'm pleasantly surprised by its versatility. Even this t-shirt itself is multipurpose. There's shiny blue/green sequins that make me feel like an urban mermaid. But then flip them over to reveal a more subdue matte black sequin. Cameo, you always know the way to my heart.
